How does one get rid of spam on the computer?

My mother sent me an email stating that she got alot

of "spam"on her computer lately. I aM not too sure what she

reguards as spam. It seems to me that "one mans spam is

another mans life", but I can't tell her that...(((LOL)))

Oh, and, since I'm askin',...does anybody now where I

can get a hedgehog in Minnesota?How does one get rid of spam on the computer?
