Here's some astonishing information: Yahoo has gone insane.
Get this: the 'New' Yahoo by default, allows your Yahoo! contacts computers, to send to whatever 3rd party software they have on THEIR computer, information about you! Can you believe that!!?
This constitutes a denial of informed consent.
Look in your mail account settings (ya, it's buried very conveniently) and uncheck this box!
Go to your Yahoo! Mail: near the "Welcome (your name)", tick the 'Profile' link; next page, upper right corner, tick 'Settings'; next page, near the bottom is the box to uncheck.
Yahoo Policy:
"NOTICE: We collect personal information on this site. To learn more about how we use your information, see our Privacy Policy" is sprinkled @ the bottom of many pages.
"Yahoo! uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, CONTACT YOU [emphasis added], conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients."

Currently, Yahoo! has relationships with the following ad networks and other third parties (click to review their site policy):

This is spying, pure and simple.
And the deterioration of trust with Yahoo! grows...it's pathetic.Hacker is using my profile to spam my contacts, how do I fix it?
Why don't you get a good Antivirus? I am using Bitdefender 2009 and I did not had any problems at all.Hacker is using my profile to spam my contacts, how do I fix it?
If it's yahoo then call them. It happened to us before. They helped once.
