I mean, it would be easy to block, right?



Theyre supposed to be leaders in the Search market, so Im sure identifying a spam for cheap knock-off Nike trainers from China, or stupid get rich quick links would be pretty easy



Sure, you can report abuse, but its all automated, without Yahoo even having to bother looking at it.

They DO care, very much. Blocking it is NOT easy, sorry. They can't block it in mail, they can't block it here. Much of it IS blocked, but some still slips through.You can see about this on the Suggestion Board, where this has been a long, long discussion between the staff and members of this site.



Spammers like Nike hire programmers (you can find their ads out on the internet; I've seen them) to write code to hack into sites like this. That type of thing is very hard to stop, so we have to report these things every time we see them. That way, the staff can suspend them and remove the ads. They are doing the much faster and more efficiently than ever, now, due to the help of many, many users who also care about this type of violation here.
