Has anyone ever made spaghetti with SPAM?
have any of you tried spaghetti but instead of using meatballs or ground beef its made with spam? i know someone who makes that but i think its nasty is there anybody else who uses that recipe? or what do you think of that?Has anyone ever made spaghetti with SPAM?
My dad tried to pull that one on us when I was little, with alfredo sauce!!
After alot of b!thchin' and moanin' we chucked it and ordered pizza. He had many of these recipe gems...
Ah, memories...
all i have to say is thats good really good i have made that beforHas anyone ever made spaghetti with SPAM?
that's gross
they must be retards
yes!thats good cut them in cubes..but add some sugar in your spag...like filipino spag!Has anyone ever made spaghetti with SPAM?
No, I can't say that I have.... I don't think that sounds too appealing. Ground beef or Italian Sausage is what I use. Almost curious to try it to see if the kids would eat it, lol.
Being an Italian myself, I must say, "That's just wrong...."
not me, but to which their own
Excuse me while I vomit, is what I think. I'm making spaghetti bog for dinner and I am using the best quality mince on the market as I don't eat meat often.
I bet it tastes a lot better than SPAM yuk!!!!
Nope, I've never thought of using spam instead of meatballs. But I did make spam stew (sliced spam instead of meat). Us ppl in Hawaii love spam like steak. We use alot of spam. Spam musubi is good for the beaches, pools, and small picnics.
Oh yes. I fried it with Catup, onion %26amp; bit of sugar, extremely easy prepare meal.
p.s. I also add hot dog into my fried rice.
I have not tried that, but it sounds like a good camping recipe.
Boil the spam in Dr Pepper first to remove the salt. Then cube it and you will be surprised.. Also use Italian sausage slided on an angle one inch thick.

What determines what emails go to spam folders?
Is it the amount of recipients on the list?
I'm about to send out an important email to all my friends, over a hundred in my address book probably. If I do it all at once, will it go to spam folders? How do I avoid this?
It's a personal email, not fwded crap or an advertisement...I just need to tell something to a lot of people. What determines what emails go to spam folders?
It all depends on their spam settings, but as long as they have your e-mail saved then it will go to their inbox.

What is up with yahoo sending spam emails to my contact list?
About once or twice a week spam emails go out to everyone in my contact list as me being the sender. i have some pretty upset friends and family about the trash. Some advice would be nice! What is up with yahoo sending spam emails to my contact list?
Your account got compromised. First change your password. Account help.http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/acct/in鈥?/a> for just about anything to do with your account. Then run anti Virus and Anti Spyware. Should be fine then. What is up with yahoo sending spam emails to my contact list?
Usually the spammer has obtained the password with phishing spam. Change the password. While you are in your account settings check for tampering with your alternate contact email address . The spammer could use that to obtain new passwords.
Abstain from clicking links within spam. Some can run malicious scripts that instruct logged in webmail to spam the address book.

What happens when you click the "spam" button on your e-mail?
It's interesting. On my yahoo e-mail I have a choice to click delete, spam, mark and move.I do know what delete is, but I am afraid to try the other three buttons because I do not know what they do. Can someone out there explain them to me? ThanksWhat happens when you click the "spam" button on your e-mail?
The "spam" button:
IF you get any emails in your inbox, that you consider to be spam---like Nigerian lotteries, or Viagra (other porn )advertisements, etc.----just click little box in front of them (not opening them), and then click the "spam" button. That tells Yahoo that they are unwanted spam. Yahoo will move them to your spam folder, and delete them after a while. Any others from that address will be delivered to the spam folder---and not your inbox.
The "Mark" button:
Click the little down arrow next to it and a drop menu appears with several items. They are self explanatory.
The "Move" button:
This is used if you want to move one of the emails out of the inbox and into a personal folder that you have set up for special emails.
Click on the email you want to move---then click the down arrow, and a drop menu appears. Click on the folder name that you want the email to go to.What happens when you click the "spam" button on your e-mail?
Spam is the area where it's more like soliciting mail
Inbox is your mail with a little less sapm
Outbox is mail you sent out to people
All of these mail areas can be deleted by you.pizza coupons traffic cameras

My Yahoo email address is being spoofed and used to send spam email?
After talking to the IT guy in my office, I realized my Yahoo email has been spoofed. Someone is sending spam email to people, and using my Yahoo email address as the "from" address. What can I do about it?My Yahoo email address is being spoofed and used to send spam email?
Sounds like your E-mail account has been compromised, or you picked up a virus, Eric.
Immediately have your computer checked for a 'bug' or 'bugs.' If you have the proper programs, do the scans yourself, if not you need to take your computer to some one who can.
Once it is clean of pests, install a firewall and an anti-virus program if you do not have one yet.
I strongly recommend a program for malware and adware also.
After you finish this, then go in and change your password, using a good strong one.
Also, check your account information and make sure no information was changed, if it was change it back immediately. My Yahoo email address is being spoofed and used to send spam email?
While it is certainly possible that some scumbag has hi-jacked your account, it is more likely that someone has just collected a contact list and is sending out their own spam to that list and injecting your name as the 'sender'. Check your 'sent' folder just to be sure.
just happened with my yahoo email account also. planning to change password %26amp; see if that helps..
i know that can be annoying.why dont u change ur password? or if that doesnt work ,make a new email.

Does it really do any good to report spam anymore and what is the best organization to report spam to?
How come the spam wars seem to mirror our terror wars. Lots of promises and effort, but no real signs of victory.Does it really do any good to report spam anymore and what is the best organization to report spam to?
Most spammers are paid for the number of times the email is delivered. So it doesn't even have to reach you for them to get returns. Meaning, as long as it gets to your email server it's okay. If you have junk filters running, this does nothing to curb future bombardments, only to prevent you from seeing the current ones.
Reporting them can be effective, but it requires time and effort to do properly and then many other people have to report the same person before any real action is taken.
The ISPs and other organizations are fighting this problem hard, so I'd say your best bet is to contact them, ask what you can do (if anything) and just get the best junk filter you can find.
doesnt seem to make a difference - everytime a bad site is shut down, there are dozens more that crop up...Does it really do any good to report spam anymore and what is the best organization to report spam to?
yeap yahoo beta mail is great like my spam has dropped to one a week so report it makes it harder for them anyway
The only place you can report spam to is the host of the spam (internet host of site originating the spam). The internet host can shut the site down. Though, these sites are shut down constantly and reappear as another name within hours. And 10 new spammers join them. That is if the internet host even cares that it's servers are hosting a spammer, some don't.Does it really do any good to report spam anymore and what is the best organization to report spam to?
There will never be an end to SPAM. They do NOTHING about it, so I have no clue as to why they won't put a stop to it. We will always have SPAM to deal with.
Because the people who seek to make life worse are on the offensive all of the time, and they are quite clever. Make sure that you are using all of the various safeguards that Yahoo and other email providers allow, because I don't get much spam, and it has been some time since my identity was stolen. If you run across something illegal:
http://www.ic3.gov is the FBI, internet crime reporting.
It is still possible to have a good internet experience, but, as in other parts of life, you must be vigilant!
Take Care!
LOL
no i still get msgs i reported as spam in my email even after i did that
reply back with an email bomb. If they want your info give them a virus attachment and say info enclosed. what they are doing is illegal so why not retaliate
There MUST be something, probably with microsoft (bill gates) or with the government
You can report to your Internet provider but chances are they can 't do much . I reported to them about all the investment and Viagra crap I receive every day ( like about 10 emails a day ) and they tell me they are looking for ways to block these meat heads but I would say they are not having any luck .
doesnt seem to make a difference but I keep reporting it anyway
no it doesn't. not in my experience.
Yes, try this company.
SpamCop is the premier service for reporting spam. SpamCop determines the origin of unwanted email and reports it to the relevant Internet service providers.
yes
I report it on Yahoo for sure, and block on cable
To be effective individually, report spam to your E- mail provider. They have the ability to prevent them from bother you in the future. This isn't any help for other victims of "spammer", though it will likley help you with unwanted E-mail.
No, it doesn't seem to work for reporting spam. They just use a different address. Reporting just blocks that one particular address. The best thing is not to open an spam email. Just report as spam so that address is blocked.
I have found that in the last three months or so, spam has become much worse for me. I don't seem to get many on my yahoo mail but my other e-mail gets 5 or more per day and my work e-mail gets 10 - 20 per day and that is on a system with an entire computer tech department! When I send e-jokes to friends, I have a little spiel at the beginning of the joke telling them to please remove my address before they forward the joke, in order to cut down on the spam mail that is generated from those who mine e-mail addresses. I also only use bcc when I forward jokes to people so the addresses of the people I send to does not show. I hate spam and wish there was a way to stop it, too.
Report it to Hormel since they make SPAM.
I think it is a waste of time to report spam. I get over 100 pieces of spam daily and every day I report them yet they continue. Yes, I use a spam blocker.
I haven't found anything site that actually helps with spam - if you do let me know - thanks and good luck!@
I started getting one spam every day, then it was doubling every day I found two IP addresses and blocked them on my server, never get SPAMS again from those 2 IP addresses. They both were from Russia. Well its not possible to block IP address on services like hotmail etc. I guess they can do so.
Nope..
Just ignore it...
I use spam-fighter it puts them all in a nice folder so they don't go in my in-box. And any that get missed I just black list them. but I think the Viagra ones come in by about 40 a day.
I should report spam to your server and remember there are times people don't know if they are spamming.
Like many things in life, it is an ongoing effort, to achieve victory.
I highly recommend that you always report SPAM, or at least do what you can to prevent it from reaching you again.
3 Basic Tips to Fight Against SPAMMERS:
# 1 - Always report it to your internet mail provider; like yahoo.com
# 2 - Create rules and filters in email options, to automatically delete similar emails, or a particular spammer
# 3 - Forward spam directly to the Commission, at SPAM@UCE.GOV, when spammer may be committing fraud-related crimes, and who is a threat to others safety online
I keep getting spam from the NRA and I've reported it several times. Still keeps coming. So, as far as I'm concerned, it does no good.
spam@uce.gov but I usually delete them now. I dont even bother, I got so many letters once from the nigeria scam I was applying for a work at home position, somehow the scam artist got my email. I recieved 20-30 scam letters a day called consumer reports and they said to report it to what I gave you oh well it didnt do any good except let them know, and the scam artists sent me a virus, and I had to get my computer restored so now I think it is safer to just delete and not open them. good luck
Good Morning,
I am responding to your question in the strictest way. No, it usually does no good to report spam in fact it usually does more harm. An exception to that is your ISP; Hotmail for example asks you to identify a unknown writer as junk or good. That is a good idea might not help on the amount of mail you get but will automatically sort your mail. I don't meant to insinuate that the ISP's aren't doing something about spam as they are but there is only so much they can do. But if you get mail asking if you want to have your name removed do not respond. Some of the major companies will remove your name but you cannot be sure what you are dealing with. Many companies send out emails and when you respond to buy they win; if you don't buy but ask then to remove your name they win they know that address is good. many times when you write a company they capture your information. Another favorite tricks is a group mailing say a joke they pick up all the names and add them to their rosters. I have two addresses one at Hotmail for free , when I order something, send out a joke, misc; the other is at my ISP and it is personal emails (friends %26amp; family). God Bless You and the Southern People.
I spam something every day on YAHOO MAIL, and I still get spam; especially from peoples names. I also get spam with ham and spam with eggs and ham and spam, spam,spam...

Why is Brazil considered the spam capitol of the world?
Does the majority of internet spam come from that country or what? Why is Brazil considered the spam capitol of the world?

Is this a new way violators are sending spam? What can yahoo do about it?I'm receiving spam email from 2007 but have current info in the body of the message. How do i stop this?
As long as it's in the Spam bin just empty it. That's a trick the spammers use to get you to open it. If it's in your inbox, mark it spam and forget about it. We can't stop it, we can only be careful where we leave our email address on the web. Also when you pass forwards, it has everyones address on them. The spammers harvest them. It seems to go in spurts, then they will move on.I'm receiving spam email from 2007 but have current info in the body of the message. How do i stop this?
Spammers frequently use dates form the future and the past, Mark. But, it is still spam! STOP opening them! Opening spam alerts the sender that your address is a valid one and they send you loads and loads more. You can not completely stop all spam, but you can help to put a big dent in it.
Check mark them and click on 'Spam,' this should stop those addresses from being delivered to your inbox.
Use your spam guard and block address.
Look for the 'Options' link at upper right corner of mail screen and click on it
Options /mail options
Click on 'spam' in the list on the left.
Make sure spam guard is on, by checking in the little box.
Then in 'Blocked Email Addresses,' enter the E-mail address you wish blocked, in the box after 'Add a blocked address' and click on the 'add' button, then click on save changes at top left of screen.
You will never get mail from that address again.
This should help you to control your spam.
Other tips:
Do not ever open E-mail from people you do not know; and unless you are absolutely sure who it is from then treat them as spam.
Never, ever give out your account information or other personal information to anyone.
If you are on a site and you absolutely have to sign up for something, check the entire page to make sure you uncheck any lines wanting to send you any other info, notices, catalogs, ads, and the like.
Added detail:
Yes, spammers change one item in their addresses a lot, so you might try blocking the entire domain, by putting in

Yes, spammers change one item in their addresses a lot, so you might try blocking the entire domain, by putting in
*@ thedomainyouwanttoblock.com
for instance: *@seeyou.com
Or, if they change the domain, instead of the company name you can block the name by putting in Imatheft_inc@*

Why do emails which I send out get thrown into a recipient's spam file?
I have sent out emails to people who later told me they found it in their spam file. I know it is less likely to happen if you are added to their address book. However, What is the typical criteria an email provider uses to determine an email to be spam? Why do emails which I send out get thrown into a recipient's spam file?
Certain words trigger all spam filters unless the filter is set to not trigger. One of the words is viagra. Another word is spam. If the email says "business proposal" this is also likely to trigger it. Whatever is commonly found in spam will get your message trashed.

What happens if i marked something as spam on facebook?
I clicked on notifications and was going through them when i accidentally marked something as spam. the thing i marked as spam was a notification that said someone "liked" my status. What does marking them as spam do? Can they see that I marked them as spam? If they can see that i marked them as spam, is there a way to undo the marked as spam action? What happens if i marked something as spam on facebook?
No way to undo it. Facebook will check it out and if it's spam, remove it, if it's not, nothing happens.

I've never gotten an email from him before. I have no information about him in my Yahoo account anywhere. there is one thing I can tell you that any response would be guessing. I have even had my name spammed when I sent one to myself. Lots of glitches in any email service. If an E-mail has the look of spam, it is redirected to your 'spam' folder.
You say you never got an E-mail from him before, do you know him? If not, it probably IS spam! Do not open it; NEVER, ever open mail from some one you do not know. Opening spam alerts the sender that your address is a valid one and they send you loads and loads more.
If you do know this person and are sure the mail is from him, then go into the 'spam' folder and check mark the item you wish to keep. Click on the 'Not spam' button and it will be returned to your in box, also allowing that address to be delivered to the in box from now on. However, go in periodically and check to insure all items are spam.
Also, make sure that address is in your address book, as it helps to ensure that address as a "safe" one.

What is the episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus with the famous "SPAM" skit called?
I want to buy this episode on iTunes but I haven't found any episodes that have the SPAM skit in the description. What is the episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus with the famous "SPAM" skit called?
It was aired on 12-15-1970 and the skit was the last skit of the show and the whole darn show was called Spam. It was the 25th episode of the show and was in season 2, the second to the last episode.
According to Wikipedia, the credits for that episode also included references to spam as everyones name suddenly somehow invloved the word spam.

How should I reseal a can of SPAM?
I'm about to open a can of SPAM to make a sandwich, but I don't want to use all the meat in the can. What's the best way to save the rest of the meat for tomorrow/another day? Should I put it in a plastic sandwich baggie? Is that effective enough? How should I reseal a can of SPAM?
%26gt;Any time you open a can you need to remove the food from the can because the container can corrode and poison the food. Take the spam out and put it into a sealable plastic container and keep it in the fridge.
I think you're thinking about this way too much. I would NOT store it in the can. Take all the meat out of the can, recycle the can, use what you need of the SPAM, and store the rest in plastic wrap, plastic food bag, or plastic food container and place it in the fridge. How should I reseal a can of SPAM?
SPAM is disgusting. but if you must keep it do not leave it in the tin. Put it on a small plate and cover the plate with clingfilm/plastic.
Put itg in an airtight container. As you seal it make sure you get as much of the air out of the container. You must freeze or at least refrigerate it.How should I reseal a can of SPAM?
Don't use an open can, tomain(something like that) Poison u can get.Sandwich baggie or tin foil. You can rap it in anything even a bread bag but never store in cans!
A container or ziplock bag. DONT keep anything in a can. The acids can form a lot of bacteria.
Plastic baggies are perfect for leftover SPAM. They say you should never store leftovers in a metal container.

Spam is leaking over into my regular mailbox what to do?
How do I control spam from getting into my regular mailbox. Matter of fact, how do I control spam from getting into my spam folder at all?Spam is leaking over into my regular mailbox what to do?
Delete it.
I do not have to open the message to know it is SPAM. None of my friends are sending me offers to get a loan, buy Viagra, gamble online, or to buy a fake Rolex. I just click on delete.
If you have a Linux box, you can also create a cron job that runs a script every hour. It can log onto your email delete all messages with certain keywords.

My spam messages are being dated in the year 2038. What is going on?
Something very odd is happening on mail that Yahoo estimates as Spam. The messages are showing posting dates in the year 2038. What is going on?My spam messages are being dated in the year 2038. What is going on?
Johnny Dollar is making a joke (I think).
Email spammers want their messages to be ON TOP, and most people sort email by date, so they forge a date in the future to get you to look at them first. My spam messages are being dated in the year 2038. What is going on?
First of all, calm down. You're not going to do any good all worked up. Good. Now, I don't know how, but you've traveled exactly 29 years into the future. There are all sorts of phenomena that would explain this. One is that you have somehow cracked the internet by pressing
"Prt Scr + Scroll Lock +Q+Up+Down+Up+Down+Left+Right+Select"
Now, either you've just gotten infinite ammo, or, as it seems is the case, you've traveled 29 years into the future. First things first, don't try and contact your future self. There is no chance you'll play cool Chuck Berry songs and impress him, as you haven't traveled to the past. Just enjoy yourself and get a job as a historian. You'll be great!

Why do my outgoing messages go to spam?
I have tested this out with my friend. I send a legitimate yahoo mail to her with a microsoft word attachment, yet it automatically goes to her spam box. The mail has a subject and a few paragraphs of message. This is important because I need the recipients of my mail to see what I am sending them.
Why is yahoo mail doing this and how can I make my mail go to the recipient's inbox?
Thanks! Why do my outgoing messages go to spam?
2 possibilities here
1. They may not have you as a contact. Sometimes it's as simple as that. or
2. The fact that it has yahoo/microsoft in it may lead the SP to believe it may be a bit iffy and is being overcautious.
I suspect the latter might be what's happening in your case, but not too sure of how to resolve thisWhy do my outgoing messages go to spam?

Its yahoo mail who decide which mail is to send to spam or inbox.

Why is there a sudden barrage of spam posters?
Every question I have looked at tonight has several answers from spam posters (advertising websites that have nothing to do with the question) What the heck is going on?Why is there a sudden barrage of spam posters?
They do it because they are making money. Several Y!A users have mentioned that they bought a $10 bottle of Acai berries to lose weight. Their credit card was charged $400. When they called to complain (to the spammer), no one answered the phone. It doesn't take many clicks for the spammers to make a lot of money fast.
There are websites that offer 30垄 for every spam answer on Y!A. They will pay for more a Level 2 user.
Yahoo wants us to click on the Report Abuse button under every spam.
most likely they haven't been deleted by the moderators/whoever runs this.
it may also just be the trolls trying something new. watch out.Why is there a sudden barrage of spam posters?
It comes and goes, kind of like rain in the weather. There is nothing new to what you are seeing.
Than just report them. Why is there a sudden barrage of spam posters?
They think they are funny and are doing it for the 2 points. As simple as that.
I noticed that, that's why i never click on a link in a question or answer.

There is too much spam coming to my inbox. Even when I register them as spam. What can I do about this?
Messages from the same spam source keep coming back. Only about half the spam goes directly to the spam box. Sometimes regular e-mails land in the spam box as well. What can I do to improve the spam filter? There is too much spam coming to my inbox. Even when I register them as spam. What can I do about this?
There has been a huge increase in spam lately. I have started to use a free programme Mail Washer rated 5 out of 5 by consumeractive magazine. It's worth a try to see if it helps you. It's not perfect but it certainly helps me. Download from http://www.mailwasher.net
At the risk of being banned by self interested parties, the volume of spam has dropped recently folllowing action by service providers to stop the spammers. In my personal experience, a daily total of around 200 has dropped to around 20.
Spammers are like school bullies. Once they pick up your email address, they will never stop. Service providers, mail filters and law enforcement can make it more difficult for them. However, until banks block the spammers funds, the bullies will keep coming back for your dinner money.
If you simply block the spam, then the spammers will find a way around your filters. Much better to report the spam. Better still would be a filter provider that has an option to report the spam to law enforcement! Look for somebody like spamcop or knujon for further info. My personal preference is for knujon which has a thunderbird add-on to make reporting easier. Your choice will depend on your mail program.
Following the major setback for the spammiest spammers, spam fighters are waiting for the recovery. Though service providers have been shamed into withdrawing their services, law enforcement still fails to jail the criminals. If you have received spam recently, then brace yourself for a flood once the spammers recover.
The question is then "What can an individual do to stop being bullied by the spammers?" The only answer I can give is to move house. Get yourself a service provider who has disposable email addresses such as Yahoo. Then you can give out separate email addresses to web pages, friends, family, business contacts etc and just get a clean address when a disposable address starts getting spam. By using a different address depending on to whom you give it, you can also find out who is giving your address to the spammers.
In summary,
If you think it is bad now, then just wait till the spammers recover.
Look up spamcop, knujon etc for reporting options.
Now is a good time to explore disposable addresses. There is too much spam coming to my inbox. Even when I register them as spam. What can I do about this?
Best thing you can do is get yourself a tailor made spam filter, either download free ones or buy, or if it's happening to your regular account (ie. not hotmail, etc) tighten up your security software. But ultimately even these can be bypassed...

Usually the best way is to set up a whole new email address and then use the old one when you sign up for stuff online and only give the new one to family and friends you trust. Usually the best way is to set up a whole new email address and then use the old one when you sign up for stuff online and only give the new one to family and friends you trust. My Yahoo account is sending spam emails to all my contacts without my permission?
What the heck is going on here?!?!?! My friends keep telling me that they're getting weird spam emails from me and I don't know how or why this is happening. Can anyone tell me how this could be- and how do I stop this?My Yahoo account is sending spam emails to all my contacts without my permission?
You should change your password and your secret questions. Once they have your username, it is really easy to get your password. All they have to do is to click the link, "Forget your password."
Another security measure would be to use answers to your secret questions that don't make sense. Just write them down so you don't forget them.
And lastly, some email account have an extra layer of security in the url. Find the location in you help file where you can use https rather than just http.My Yahoo account is sending spam emails to all my contacts without my permission?
I have the same problem. Change your password, that worked for me. My friends were getting spam from some drug company in Canada.

What is going on. Has anyone else had a problem dropping SPAM tonight?
I have been reporting what are very obvious spam posts and only one of them has been removed. Has Yahoo made any announcements about this tonight. What is going on. Has anyone else had a problem dropping SPAM tonight?
It does look like a local problem as I am having no trouble on the battle thread. Maybe a local server struggling. What is going on. Has anyone else had a problem dropping SPAM tonight?
Wow, Sicilian Godmother --- you received two rude answers to your question, which I had to remove :-)
Sometimes CM malfunctions due to glitches. I haven't had any problems removing abuse from the site as yet ( note I removed the two rude answers from your question). But maybe the glitch will roll over to where I am eventually :-(
If this continues to happen for you, I suggest that you file a report about it at the suggestion board.
All the best, Sicilian Godmother.

Is Myspace just a big Spam website where people willingly give their personal information?
under the guise of a "social networking" website? What a scam! Stuff the users full of spam and they actually willingly put in their demographic info, and give you email addresses! Is Myspace just a big Spam website where people willingly give their personal information?
It is nuts and to boot the number 1 spot to do your "predatoring" on children. Beyond any comprehension I have that parents allow their children to get involved. Does anyone know if spam from FBI director Robert Mueller is real? What does it mean?
I've been receiving spam from FBI Director Robert Mueller about being a beneficiary of a Nigerian Bank transfer. How is this possible? Is this a Bard Pitt scam?Does anyone know if spam from FBI director Robert Mueller is real? What does it mean?
Why would the head of the FBI be contacting random people about a Nigerian bank transfer. The FBI handles domestic crime and terrorism - they have nothing to do with bank transfers. I'm sure he has more important things to do, like investigating the Russian spies and terrorist cells in the US. And if you aren't the President of the US, a Senator or a Congressman, you would not be dealing with the director of the FBI. I can't imagine he gives his email address out to random people

What is the difference between delete, reject and reject as spam?
When moderating Yahoo Group messages, there are buttons in top right to mark a particular message as "delete", "reject" or "reject as spam". Does it matter which one I click? Will something different happen depending on which way I dump the message? What is the difference between delete, reject and reject as spam?
To quickly answer your core question: "Delete/Reject as SPAM" will of course delete the message %26amp; also alert yahoo to tag the sender as a spam sender. This helps prevent (or ideally block) this sender from sending messages to the group (or the community) again. Use with prudence.
If spam was definitely posted by a valid group member, then you can use "Reject" for an initial offense, then "Delete as Spam" when he or she repeats - depends on you %26amp; the group rules you set. What is the difference between delete, reject and reject as spam?
nothing happens with delete, it just deletes the post. reject allows you to send a message as to why you rejected it to the sender. not sure what spam does.florida drivers license online puzzle games

What is the point of spam/spam emails/pornographic spam on facebook?
What do the spammers have to gain?
As far as I know, the people who send out spam emails don't benefit in any way
And recently, the porn spam on facebook has been popping up all over the place. Why? Do the spammers gain anything? What is the point? What is the point of spam/spam emails/pornographic spam on facebook?
The problem is: stupid people.
Spam costs virtually NOTHING for the spammer, and stupid people keep on clicking on the spamvertising. Spam works, at least well enough... ALL because of STUPID PEOPLE, IDIOTS who click on the spam... It works simply because there is virtually NO cost, so ANY hits mean potential profit for the spammers. My father recieved a spam email with my whole name from his yahoo account?
Please please tell me if there's something wrong with yahoo; I haven't sent an email of any sort for months and my dad just gets a weird pill spam messaged to him with my name?? 0.0 what the heck is going on?My father recieved a spam email with my whole name from his yahoo account?
This has been happening to both Yahoo and Hotmail accounts, but even more so recently. Spammers might just be faking or 'spoofing' your account name - they have programs to generate random addresses. Your address may have been found in someone else's infected computer's address book or saved mails way down a line of forwarded mail, and is being used by spammers. Some new malware can install itself just by opening it, without even clicking a link! (It only takes a few hours to crack an 8-character password!) If the mail goes to your Contacts list, you have had your account hacked, and would need to run several anti-malware programs in Safe Mode.
If none of these mails show in your Sent folder, it is not likely your own computer that is infected. Deleting your account will NOT stop this spam - once the spammers have the address, they will continue to use it for a while.
1. Check that the alternate e-mail address is still yours (Change it!), and then change both your password AND your secret questions and answers. Make them unique and strong ones!
2. Apologize, and warn all your contacts NOT to open short e-mails, especially those with no subject, and definitely not to click any links. Set up an alternate 'alias' account to use instead. This allows you to use a different address for sending, but still keep all saved mails and contacts and the first address active too for incoming mail. Your friends can trust this new address.

What happened? There was spam sent from my account now my address book is empty. ?
I think my yahoo account is completely corrupted. My brother sent me an email saying that my yahoo account sent out a spam email to everyone. I got into my account to delete my entire address book. I didn't know what else to do. When I went in, my address book was already gone. What the heck? What happened? There was spam sent from my account now my address book is empty. ?
Tell yahoo about theis quickly otherwise they may think you are sending the emails and block your computer having any access to yahoo.
Your yahoo account has been "hijacked" in some way - if you tell them soon enough yahoo will deactivate your yahoo account and give you a new password to reactivate it back in your control BUT run virus checks before reactivating in case you have a Trojan. What happened? There was spam sent from my account now my address book is empty. ?
contact Yahoo first. I think a hacker did it for fun. I actually know someone who can do it. If you have wireless internet, that is where the problem is coming from

What happens if you eat moldy spam?
I sliced a few slices off of some spam, and when I was almost done eating it, I noticed some mold on the corner of a slice that I was almost done eating. I heard that mold from canned things can be poisenous..is moldy spam poisenous? What happens if you eat moldy spam?
I don't see how mold could have gotten into your spam unless the can was faulty to start with.
First confirm that it's mold and not a little fat ball (whitish ball).
If it is mold, I'd toss it and buy a good can. What happens if you eat moldy spam?

I've just been looking through my emails and noticed emails from my own email address to me in the spam folder?
Not sure what's going on, can someone give me some advice?
The address sending them is mine but they've been sent to me and in my spam folder. I wouldn't address any emails to myself and i know most people get spam but why would i get them from my own address? Hope someone has some knowledge on this matter. Thanks!

Be careful for a virus. Some virus' attack your address book and send their virus to all in your address book. Run an antivirus program to eliminate if that is the issue. Good luck. I've just been looking through my emails and noticed emails from my own email address to me in the spam folder?

Yahoo Answers spam question: What's with the escort services from India spamming here?
You might have seen questions featuring EsCoRt SeRvIcEs usually from Chandigarth, often with a phone number or something. The message body is the same thing repeated over and over.
Does anyone in India look here for escort services? Do the spammers actually expect anyone to go looking HERE for escort services? Or does this type of spam actually WORK?Yahoo Answers spam question: What's with the escort services from India spamming here?
I have some of those as saved searches for quick reporting.
Most of the time, these are removed in the first 3 minutes. If they only get 1 person calling, then the copy/paste has done its job, and that's what they are hoping for. It's just spambots or people with no life.
Report them every time, it's spam and promotes pimping, and it is against the Y!A guidelines. They help people become top reporters, though.
No. They are actually misusing YA as an advertising medium for illegal activities. You can also see that these questions won't stay there for long because it will get reported soon. And if we click the asker's profile, it won't be there saying it has been suspended. But on the very next day, they'll create a new account and start spam again. And also these guys are helping other members to become 'top reporters!' Lol ! :DYahoo Answers spam question: What's with the escort services from India spamming here?
These are not real people posting them, they are spambots.
All you can do is click Report Abuse every time you see them and they will be removed. Click "I believe this is illegal" instead of the "chat, rant, spam.." box as this is promoting illegal activity by pimping on Y!A and they remove illegal activity faster than just spam
I've seen those ads countless times, and I've reported them countless times - if there was no money to be made with those spambot questions and answers, they wouldn't get posted again and again. The "Spam Battle Thread" on the Suggestion Board is aware of the problem and we co-ordinate our efforts in getting rid of those fake accounts as soon as they pop up...:-(

I think the answers are no, no and no.
If people look for an escort service, they will google or go through the yellow pages.
I think that clientele is not the reason for the spam. Maybe they want us to realise that there's escortservices even in india, or want us to think that these are normal.

Is there a reason why two people at the same address would be getting such different spam?
What determines the kind of spam you get? I noticed that my husband is getting 'dating and singles' kind of spam in his email (spam folder) and the spam in my folder is more mundane, ie., like about free music programs and so on. Needless to say, I'm a little concerned. Is there a reason why two people at the same address would be getting such different spam?
He probably entered his email in one of those singles sites at one point in time.

Someone is using my address to send a spam into my mail. What can I do?
For sometime now, someone has been using my yahoo address to send a spam to the same address. What does this mean and what do I need to do about this problem?Someone is using my address to send a spam into my mail. What can I do?
It is called “spoofing” they are claiming to be from your address to
1. Entice you to open it
2. Slip past your defenses.
You can black list you own email address. for many mail clients you own email does not go through the filtering. While anyone claiming to be you will be stopped.
I don't know exactly the names, but there are programs to detect the source of the e-mails sent. The IT departments in companies can do that. If you know someone in IT, you can tell them and they can tell you exactly which address and computer it was sent from.Someone is using my address to send a spam into my mail. What can I do?

Has anyone experienced a significant reduction in spam ?
I have noticed a large reduction in the amount of spam sent to my btinternet mailbox over the last few weeks.
Is this a widespread phenomenon and, if so, what is the reason for it?Has anyone experienced a significant reduction in spam ?
Yes there was something in the news a few days ago that a couple of the big servers that spammer's used were shut down. It was in the US where most of it comes from.

Here's some astonishing information: Yahoo has gone insane.
Get this: the 'New' Yahoo by default, allows your Yahoo! contacts computers, to send to whatever 3rd party software they have on THEIR computer, information about you! Can you believe that!!?
This constitutes a denial of informed consent.
Look in your mail account settings (ya, it's buried very conveniently) and uncheck this box!
Go to your Yahoo! Mail: near the "Welcome (your name)", tick the 'Profile' link; next page, upper right corner, tick 'Settings'; next page, near the bottom is the box to uncheck.
Yahoo Policy:
"NOTICE: We collect personal information on this site. To learn more about how we use your information, see our Privacy Policy" is sprinkled @ the bottom of many pages.
"Yahoo! uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, CONTACT YOU [emphasis added], conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients."

Everything that I forward goes into spam and is not delivered. What am I doing wrong?
I go to forward and then click on TO and click on the address that I want the forward to go to.It only gets to spam.Everything that I forward goes into spam and is not delivered. What am I doing wrong?
One thing that may help, is when you click on the "forward" button, is to edit the mail you are forwarding. Highlight and delete ALL of the old names and addresses from the mail item. Not only do you help secure their information, but it helps to make the message look less like a spam mail.
You might also, want to place the addresses of the people you are sending it to in the 'Bcc:' line, that way none of them can see the name or address of the others you are sending it to.
Other than this, there is nothing you can do, It is up to the recipient to handle and deal with their spam, and 'spam' folder. They need to check their 'spam' folder by going into the 'spam' folder and check mark the item they wish to keep. Click on the 'Not spam' button and it will be returned to their in box, also allowing that address to be delivered to the in box from now on. However, they need to go in periodically and check to insure all items are spam.
Also, make sure that they have your address is in their address book, as it helps to ensure that address as a "safe" one.

Do you think Yahoo even care that Answers is so full of spam?
I mean, it would be easy to block, right?
Theyre supposed to be leaders in the Search market, so Im sure identifying a spam for cheap knock-off Nike trainers from China, or stupid get rich quick links would be pretty easy
Sure, you can report abuse, but its all automated, without Yahoo even having to bother looking at it.
What do you think? Does it annoy you, or you just ignore it ?Do you think Yahoo even care that Answers is so full of spam?
I think they do care, for several reasons.Do you think Yahoo even care that Answers is so full of spam?
all they care about is content, visitors and money, that's the point in a web business.. don't like it? get the hell of the siteDo you think Yahoo even care that Answers is so full of spam?
They DO care, very much. Blocking it is NOT easy, sorry. They can't block it in mail, they can't block it here. Much of it IS blocked, but some still slips through. You can see about this on the Suggestion Board, where this has been a long, long discussion between the staff and members of this site.
Spammers like Nike hire programmers (you can find their ads out on the internet; I've seen them) to write code to hack into sites like this. That type of thing is very hard to stop, so we have to report these things every time we see them. That way, the staff can suspend them and remove the ads. They are doing the much faster and more efficiently than ever, now, due to the help of many, many users who also care about this type of violation here.

What do you suggest for blocking foreign character spam?
Yahoo advises me they have no solution to blocking foreign character spam? How is that possible? I get hundreds of spam messages with characters I cannot recognize and want them to go in the trash upon arrival. Can I use an outside spam filter like Spam Assasin in conjunction with Yahoo's spam filter. I have no idea if that works, or whether there are other work arounds. I'm sure I am not the only one in the US receiving all this crap. What do you suggest for blocking foreign character spam?

I keep getting spam in my email. It's so bad that if I don't check and clear them almost every day, in a few days I have over 100! Please help! What is the best free spam blocker for email these days? And can I download it from the internet?
The best? = IMHO a matter of opinion ;-)
I use the free Thunderbird mail program which includes one of the most effective self learning spam filters. 1.)
The program is quite common so that You possibly can get pretrained filter files (training.dat) from friends. If not - I located one for You at the bottom of this German page 2.) It is zipped - just unpack training.zip and copy to its place, else You can probably find more filters via search engine.
You just copy the filter to Your Thunderbird Profile folder and overwrite the untrained one that is there. The profile is in Your apdata folder. Info how to find it 3.)

What do you think should be done about Spam email?
Spam is always clogging up the email systems around the world. Bill Gates, the Founder of Microsoft Ltd, says that he looks forward to a spam free world. Do you think that is possible? I personally hate Spam as it doesn't give anything which of interest and they're always saying the same thing - drugs, porn, etc. How can the I.T. world become free of spam? Is Spam here to stay? Should spammers get life in prison, like the virus writers get? Lets hear your thoughts. What do you think should be done about Spam email?
I think they should be tracked down and be punished severely. I don't know how that would be done, but they should come up with some kind of protection that prevents that from happening. I really think spam represents dishonesty and lack of respect between people, it's a statement that says to us greed won over respect and compassion. It's not only about greed, it's theft. Some people who are unaware of the real intentions of this people, send their last cent to an offer of a job, and end up empty handed and go through very difficult time. It's the same as being robbed on the corner. It's terrible. It has to stop. Maybe if enough people got together and made a campaign against it, go on tv and put some pressure on this people, something must be done. What do you think should be done about Spam email?
We've already done something about it in Australia with the SPAM Act. It's illegal to send spam to addresses in Australia. There have been several successful enforcement actions.
Also, get a good spam filter and keep it up to date.
My ISP has good filters built into their network so I don't even see most of the spam if I don't want to.What do you think should be done about Spam email?
Report it, Yahoo has a facility for this, and don't open or answer it.
If I get any emails from any source which I do not recognise or have never seen before, I never open or look at the messages. I delete them straight away.

What's the point of spam which is unbelievable ?
I'm getting spam from a so called bank official in Burkino Faso, Africa who wants to give me a share in an unclaimed fortune, if I return the email and facilitate him or her wanting to come to Ireland. Its crazy. No one could accept this mad proposition promising millions. So why am I getting these repeated lunatic emails? Is there an ulterior motive? At first I thought it was a friend being funny. Its not. So any ideas anyone? What's the point of spam which is unbelievable ?
No...the fact is, with the right equipment, it takes about as much time and energy to send out 100,000,000 emails to different addresses as it takes to send 10. So, they send emails to everyone in the world, hoping to land a fish...someone with some money but not really in touch with reality...or the gullable and naive...or the borderline mentally ill who still have a bit of cash...
I've recieved over 100 of these emails in the last year alone...I started making a game of replying...with suitably vulgar suggestions of my opinion of their country...it's more fun than just deleting them...

By reporting it as spam aren't you reporting your own email since what Jamie's asking is how to block spam that appears to be coming from her own email address not a different one. So blocking it or reporting it blocks any email you just might send to yourself (which I do to remind myself of things)

It is annoying, but meanwhile Spammers know how to make it look like you are the one who is sending such mails. Got some of them myself, but since I know that I don't send myself any junk mail, I just delete them. As far as I know, there is no other way yet to deal with such crap.

What happened to yahoo answers.. I havn't been on in a year and now its all spam answers?
Whats with all the spam? this is ridiculous where are all the real people? What happened to yahoo answers.. I havn't been on in a year and now its all spam answers?
Believe it or not, some people are paid when they post spam. They set up programs or machines that spam Yahoo! Answers. That's why on some websites, they ask you "are you human?" and make you type the given image to make sure you aren't a spammer or scammer.
im not sure, but i think your question is also a target for spammers.
Maybe people should post "educated questions" so "spammers" can be reported by giving
totally unrelated answers to them.
Just my opinion. What happened to yahoo answers.. I havn't been on in a year and now its all spam answers?
I'm real. WinItems.com spammers are actually bots. They spam because they're advertising their fake low life company.

What is best SPAM and junkmail filter for yahoo?
My SPAM Filter recently started letting more SPAM in, I cannot get it to reset and am having to dump lots of SPAM.What is best SPAM and junkmail filter for yahoo?
How to fight spam and scams:
#1: Yahoo has a spamguard filter, but only if multiple users report an address as spam will it be treated as such by the filter.
You have a personal list for blocking addresses in spam options. Anything you mark as spam in Mail classic will be added to that list, in New Yahoo mail adding addresses to the list has to be done manually. If you ever receive anything from those addresses in the future, it will be deleted automatically, you won't even notice when you got some more crap from them. One problem though: the list of blocked addresses is limited to 500 and spammers often change their address. So you must sometimes delete some of the older blocked addresses to make room for new ones.
Go to this link where everything is explained in detail:
http://help.yahoo.com/us/tutorials/mail/鈥?/a>
#2: The Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov) is supposed to help you eliminate spam mails. Forward spam to: spam@uce.gov, in the subject line enter something like "unsubscribe link results in more spam", "unwanted spam message", "no unsubscribe link" or something similar.
Here's how to do the forwarding bit: click the crtl key and at the same time click the "forward" button to forward a message as an attachment, mac users should click the "apple" key and click "forward" simultaneously.
When the FTC gets your mail, they will look into the matter and when they find out who the spamming source is, they will take legal actions.
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/edcams/sp鈥?/a>
#3: Check Mailwasher, it helps to eliminate spam from your inbox...
Set up your email account(s) in MailWasher and hit the "Check Mail" button. It then downloads all new message headers and displays message details alongside each one (priority, subject, from, to, etc.). Any email that MailWasher considers to be spam is highlighted for easy sorting.
Two checkboxes are located next to each message header: "Delete" and "Bounce". If you click "Delete" the email will be marked for deletion, click "Bounce" and the mail will be marked for bouncing - a fake "address not found" email will be sent to the sender. Once you have decided what to bounce and delete, click "Process Mail" to get it done and your mail client launched for downloading all accepted emails.
MailWasher has a "blacklist" and a "friends list" to enter good and bad email addresses. Addresses in the blacklist are marked for deletion, and addresses in the friends list will be marked as okay. Filters can be set to increase MailWasher's effectiveness. You can have email addressed to "undisclosed recipients" automatically deleted and bounced for example.
Note: the program is free but limited to one email account. MW Pro supports multiple mail accounts.

You can not completely stop all spam, but you can help to put a big dent in it.
First, try not to open any of them, that only makes them send more and more to you.
Check mark them and click on 'Spam,' this should stop those addresses from being delivered to your inbox.
Use your spam filter and block address.
Look for the 'Options' link at upper right corner of mail screen and click on it
Options/ mail options / spam preferences
make sure spam guard is on, click on save changes
Options /mail options / blocked addresses
Enter the E-mail address you wish blocked and click on 'add block'
you will never get mail from that address again.
This should help you to control your spam.
Other tips:
Never open E-mail unless you are absolutely sure who it is from.
Never give out your personal information to anyone.
If you are on a site and you absolutely have to sign up for something, check the entire page to make sure you uncheck any lines wanting to send you any other info, notices, catalogs, ads, and the like.
Added detail:
Yes, spammers change one item in their addresses a lot, so you might try blocking the entire domain, by putting in
*@ thedomainyouwanttoblock.com
for instance: *@seeyou.com
Hope this helps. What is best SPAM and junkmail filter for yahoo?
There has been a huge increase in spam lately. I have started to use a free programme Mail Washer rated 5 out of 5 by consumeractive magazine. It's worth a try to see if it helps you. It's not perfect but it certainly helps me. Download from http://www.mailwasher.net/

Sorry for the dumb question, but what exactly is Spam?
I have no idea what Spam is. All I know is that it's some kind of meat bunched up in a can, but I've heard some pretty nasty things about it. Thanks. :)
Oh, and please, no stupid answers.
I know it's a stupid question, but I'm serious.Sorry for the dumb question, but what exactly is Spam?
Its salted pork shoulder that has been ground up finely and molded into the shape in that can. Its alot like bologna but with different seasonings. Its really good fried and on a sandwich.
SPiced hAM.Sorry for the dumb question, but what exactly is Spam?
Spam, from the Hormel company, is spiced Ham (Sp-am). THere is nothing particularly nasty in it, just processed food like bologna or franks. It just looks nasty when you get it out of the can because it has this gel (like on cold turkey) and people say that's gross. It is pretty tasty grilled or even as a cold cut. I microwave it and put it on toast with cheese. It's not top of the line, but there's worse.
It's NOT ham. It's made from hoofs, intestines, tongues, eyeballs, cartilidge and ears. Enjoy!Sorry for the dumb question, but what exactly is Spam?
No one knows....really, no one knows..... Canned "meat".
Dont beleive that spiced ham stuff.... Its really beaks and claws from pork products...
its spiced ham, i didn't know either until 1 week ago! =)
SPAM Classic is a conveniently packaged canned meat product made of 100 percent pure pork and ham
http://media.hormel.com/templates/knowle鈥?/a>
It seems like artifical meat. Kind of like Bolonga. I actually like Spam. It is not bad if you grill it up.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_%28foo鈥?/a>
not made from "parts" as cited above.
It is pig shoulder meat with seasonings.
They have a website.
It's basically any e-mail that you don't want.
Spam is a song by the band Save Ferris. It's a pretty funny song.
They like you to think its spiced ham BUT I don't think anyone really knows because it changes all the time depending whats swept up at the meat packing plant that day. Mostly lips and a**holes.
It is a canned pork product. Basically bits and pieces of pork and ham compressed into the familiar shape of the spam can. YUK !! Even if you like pork or ham, you may not actually like Spam.
I thinks its absolutely awful and salty !! *cough*hack*
Visit a spam factory and it will cure you of eating it!!
People's fascination with it will always puzzle me.
Spam is a versatile meat that comes in a can, and is not unhealthy for you.I have ate it several ways, fried,in sandwiches--omeletes--burritos-- camping out.It is a mixture of pork and beef. They use cheaper cuts of meats to mix in there. The flavor is kind of salty, so you want to add to it before you eat, like mayo, mustard,or miracle whip.Just try it if you have an open mind and like to experiment........

How can I avoid my website e-mail to be sent to my members yahoo and hotmail spam and junk?
I have an "admin@mywebsite.com" email that I am using to confirm members registration but when this e-mail is sent to hotmail accounts it goes to junk and in yahoo accounts it goes to spam. Gmail is working fine it actually goes to the inbox as it should. What can I do to fix this? Any help please? How can I avoid my website e-mail to be sent to my members yahoo and hotmail spam and junk?
1
Include plain text in your email. Emails that are entirely HTML or that include just images and links are a flag for spam, particularly if those links have become blacklisted at some point. Personal emails contain plain text, so including this text will tell spam filters that you are a real person, not a spammer.
2
Avoid too many attachments. One of the dangers of spam is they can contain virulent attachments; uploading and hosting images and creating links instead of attachments will not only avoid spam rules, it will also help your emails to load faster.
3
Avoid using phrases that can trigger spam filters. Many spam filters function by text alone and a high density of "risky" keywords means that your mail will be caught and flagged as spam. There are websites that keep current lists of spam keywords, check them out to make sure you are up to date on the latest spam content will help you to avoid it.
4
Use SMTP sending instead of direct sending. Many spam filters will carefully scrutinize directly sent emails with long headers and lists of recipients. Using Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) will allow you to email many recipients without triggering this function.

I am getting spam and I want to add a domain to the black list sites. What tool or tools do I need or what website do I access or join? How do I add a domain to a spam list so that it is black listed on the major blacklist sites?
This Spamcop site seems useful in the fight against spam. I wish you good luck in this war. You may also try using filters in your email program to block such things. I usually have mine sent to the JUNK folder and delete them from there. If you sign up for a lot of offers and such, using a free email service like hotmail can catch most of the junk. Use only your main email address for really important things.

What happens when you mark email as "spam" or "phishing scam?"?
I sometimes place ads on Craigslist and most of the responses are for something completely unrelated to what my ad is about. Do these people even read my ad? I guess they can't get a better job, so they become spammers. I never respond to them, but I guess enough people do. Why? Why would anyone think a spam offer is a good offer? Anyway, by marking these emails as "phishing scams," are they like blacklisted from the internet or does anything really happen at all? What happens when you mark email as "spam" or "phishing scam?"?
Phishing scam alerts your ISP to the type of language these scammers use so next time something similar is sent it gets sent to your Junk/Spam box instead of your inbox

Take as many online polls as possible; they will grow exponentially !
Also disable spam-guard, all virus protection, and your fire-wall. Then plan to get a new computer and new accounts.

My yahoo account has been used to send spam twice in the last 2 weeks. What should I do?
Is there a way to close down this account so that everyone in my contact list doesn't keep getting bombarded with spam seemingly sent from my account? My yahoo account has been used to send spam twice in the last 2 weeks. What should I do?
If changing your password did not help then your computer may be infected with malware. Closing your account won't do anything as your new account will also get infected. The infection is on your computer
You need to run a full scan for viruses and malware. A virus scan alone is not enough. If you don't have an anti-malware program already you can download Malwarebytes for free
After running the scan and deleting any infected files, delete your browsing history and cookies and empty your cache
Restart your computer, then when it reboots change your email password
This should stop itMy yahoo account has been used to send spam twice in the last 2 weeks. What should I do?
Your account got compromised. First change your password. Account help.http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/acct/in鈥?/a> for just about anything to do with your account. Then run anti Virus and Anti Spyware. Should be fine then.

How is It that I am receiving spam from myself?
I have received several spam messages from my own email account. How is this happening? Does this mean that I've been hacked? If so, how did it happen? What do I do to make sure it never happens again? Please help if you can. Thanks in advance. How is It that I am receiving spam from myself?
It's called "spoofing", Andy.
Spoofing is the "forgery" of an address, to hide the identity of the sender, and is usually done by an Automatic Spamming system, that "blindly and randomly, runs through addresses in sequence".
It's not actually coming from or thru your account, (see in your sent folder), so changing your password is NO solution.
One type that's called "Self Spamming"--(go figure)--appears to be coming "from" and going "to" the same address.
Anti-spam experts say----There's nothing you can do, except delete them. They are a nuisance, but harmless and don't last long.
Don't spam them--you'd only be spamming your own address. How is It that I am receiving spam from myself?
There are several possibilities.
One is that the spammer's spam program forges the recipient's address as being the sender.
One is that your email address has been selected to be forged as the sender of many emails. When this happens, it is common for delivery failure notices to get bounced to you. It is often occurs with self-mailing viruses that harvest address books along the way and rotate some of those addresses to be the forged sender address.
There is not much you can do about the above.
It could be that a spammer is sending spam from your account. The spambots would probably not send the spam to you unless you have your address in your address book. If it is happening, then other people in your address book will be getting spam. Most of the time these spammers obtain the password from phishing spam. Most of the time changing your password ends the problem.
It is a good idea to scan your computer for viruses and spyware, just in case those are being used to obtain your passwords. How is It that I am receiving spam from myself?
That is a trick spammers use in order to get you to open their E-mail. They also place incorrect dates on E-mails. But, make sure your computer is not infected first, as this might also be a reason for the mails.
Immediately have your computer checked for a 'bug' or 'bugs.'
Once it is clean of pests, install a firewall and an anti-virus program if you do not have one yet.
I strongly recommend a program for malware and adware also.
After you finish this, then go in and change your password, using a good strong one.
You can not completely stop all spam, but you can help to put a big dent in it.
First, try not to open any of them, that only makes them send more and more to you.
Check mark them and click on 'Spam,' this should stop those addresses from being delivered to your inbox.
Yes, spammers change one item in their addresses a lot, so you might try blocking the entire domain, by putting in

for instance: *@seeyou.com
Hope this helps.kauffman tire pf changs locations
