You get spam when your address is published on the internet, on any social networking pages you may have or on guestbooks, anywhere really. Spammers use bots to harvest those addresses and then send the same emails to thousands of people at once.



Prevention is the answer, make a new account and keep the address off the internet and you won't get spam.
